Our investors are Leaders in Agriculture.
Our mentors spend their days thinking and innovating in AgTech.

Join us to grow with the industry's accelerator.

Accelerate

The Accelerator is mentor-led, vertically focused, and funded by AgTech innovators. We are seeking early-stage companies with an idea, intellectual property or prototype for agricultural innovation. We provide $40,000 in seed funding, purposeful networking with our mentors, office space in our beautiful office in Des Moines, residency at a local extended-stay facility for 100 days and graduation during the World Food Prize with hundreds of global industry and academic thought leaders in attendance.

We are not your typical Accelerator. Our investors and mentors hail from the AgTech industry. Startups participating in our program will have opportunities to collaborate with industry leaders onsite at their companies, present their solutions to refine product-market fit, perform customer discovery within the industry and build strategic partnerships. The details of the 2017 program are:

  • $40,000 seed funding for a 6% equity position in the startup
  • Graduation during the World Food Prize
  • Startup-friendly termsheet with common stock, no liquidation preferences, no board seat and limited preemptive provisions
  • Program runs July 10 through October 17, 2017
  • Housed in Historic East Village, Des Moines, Iowa
  • Subsidized housing provided at a nearby extended-stay facility
  • Field trips to investor and mentor companies will complement office time for holistic education, outreach, networking and presentation opportunities
